THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2021 SEASON (THROUGH THE END OF OCTOBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands’ only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Security Guard. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will have at least one year of security experience, possess an upbeat leadership style, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Security Guard is to ensure that the highest standards for safety and security are maintained throughout the resort. This individual will ensure that guest and employee calls are responded to promptly, and will participate fully in the Mission Point Hospitality culture to ensure a consistently safe environment in all Front of House and Back of House spaces. This position reports to the Resort Security Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School or equivalent education required with a minimum of one year of security experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop detailed and specific procedures and processes outlining the steps to follow in completing department and/or project tasks
  • Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team
  • Constant and diligent vigilance.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions guided by policy and procedures.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
