THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2019 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE END OF OCTOBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands’ only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Bell Captain. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will have at least two years of guest/customer service experience - preferably with at least one year in a leadership role, possess an upbeat leadership style, and have experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Bell Captain is to lead the Bell Staff in working with the front office team to provide Mission Point Resort guests with an exceptional guest service experience. This position directs the bellman/dock-porters whose primary role is to unload/load luggage carts between the docks and resort, sort luggage and deliver it to the appropriate guest room. The position reports to the Guest Services Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must have a mature and professional attitude and personality
  • Extensive knowledge of the Island, the hotel and its services and facilities
