SUMMARY OF POSITION : The Housekeeping Supervisor’s primary objective is to assist and direct the housekeeping staff in order to ensure all guest rooms and guest areas are clean and inspected. It is also important to participate fully in Mission Point’s hospitality culture as a member of our staff and maintain an excellent line of communication with the Housekeeping Manager


  • Make sure all room attendants’ needs are taken care of before they start working each morning.
  • Assist in folding and storing clean linens.
  • Communicate with guests, ask them about their stay and if there is anything they need assistance with; if possible, always address them by name.
  • Attend to any and all guest requests, or seek out an employee that may be more qualified for special requests.
  • Remain informed on events and activities taking place throughout the resort.
  • Properly inspect guest rooms after room attendants are finished and clear them for occupancy.
  • Continuously train and help room attendants improve in their servicing of the rooms.
  • Change rooms status in the system to vacant clean when rooms are ready for occupation.
  • Assist room attendants as necessary to complete their rooms.
  • Interface with the front desk to expedite room’s statuses as needed.
  • Ensure all VIP arrivals are inspected and handled according to established standards.
  • Assist room attendants to maintain stocked carts and to retrieve needed items when necessary.
  • Direct the housemen to strip rooms and clear linens and garbage from the floors as needed.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure any issues in rooms or public spaces are attended to.
  • Enforce standards and rules as laid out by management and operating procedures.
  • Ensure the quantity of work being performed by room attendants is in alignment with prescribed standards.
  • Must comply with Blood-borne Pathogen Exposure Control Policy when applicable.
  • Attend to any and all guest requests.
  • Know your schedule and show up for all assigned shifts at the proper time.
  • Follow the instructions of your manager at all times, complete all assigned tasks on a timely basis.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


  • Ability to walk, stand and move for extended periods of time
  • Duties require the ability to bend, kneel, and reach.
  • Daily physical activities include the ability to push, pull, and lift somewhat heavy objects over varying distances throughout the resort.
  • Must be able to perform the above actions continuously for a period of time that could occasionally exceed 8 hours.
  • Physical requirements are classified as medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.


  • Must have a minimum work experience of one year as a room attendant or related experience/education.
  • Must be able to direct employees and enforce all standards and regulations of the resort.
  • Must be willing and able to frequently interact and assist any and all guests and employees in need of anything.
  • Should be able to use and express skills to contribute to the housekeeping team to complete the daily housekeeping goals.
  • Must possess the ability to speak, express or exchange ideas by means of spoken and written English as well as listen, perceive, observe and interact.
