THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2021 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE END OF OCTOBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Baker/Pastry Cook. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will possess an upbeat attitude and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a line cook your primary responsibility is to work with the kitchen staff in the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurants in a safe and sanitary work environment. Ensure all food is served according to specification set by Lead Cook and Sous Chefs

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required (Culinary certificate preferred)
  • Two or more years of experience in a restaurant kitchen preferable with a pastry/baking background
  • Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team
  • Be professional, responsible and mature
